education Larissa was educated in the fine art of photography by Werner Mertz, in Palm Beach, FL during college. She spent hours in the dark room refining her skills to perfection. The dark room has been exchanged for the digital version but the fundamentals of photography are still engrained into each shot.
experience Larissa has been a part of hundreds of events and shoots. From warehouses, parks, churches to city streets, her style is photojournalistic. She has the patience necessary to capture children and animals and the spontaneity to create a shot without ideal options. She has shot many weddings, baptisms, charity events, portraits, farms, landscapes etc
camera Larissa is strictly digital. She keeps a 35 mm in the cabinet just in case. Film shots must be specified and will create an additional cost. There are two digital cameras: a Kodak 7590 and the second camera is a Canon XTi EOS with lens and filter options.
philosophy Larissa is about the ART of creating a photograph. Her goal is to capture a moment with the camera that takes your breath away! There are challenges to excellent photography but her creativity and experience will assist in achieving the ultimate photograph for you. Larissa wants her ART displayed and appreciated and refuses to work with those that do not have an appreciation for fine art. During events, she is professional yet personable. Her ability to charm a small child or a CEO to create a portrait leads them smiling and entertained and distracted from the process.
Photo shoots focus on a photo realism/journalistic style. The best lighting comes from mother nature. If not, flash has been created to assist! Outdoor shots, non-studio shots increase the artistic value and spontaneous creativity of the shot! Some of my favorite sites include the Florida Botanical Gardens, Clearwater Beach, Siesta Key, Downtown Tampa, several local parks, churches and vistas around Tampa. Try it!
